As much as we love rural France, where the wine is flowing and the winding back roads and country lanes are picture-perfect and wonderful for cycling … We thought it would be nice to add a more coastal route for you to try!
Full of character and individuality, the small towns dotted along the beautiful shoreline of Western France are the setting for our brand new self-guided trip. The Atlantic Coast is graded as a level 2 holiday, and follows a really gentle route down the beautiful west coast of France. Starting in the whitewashed town of La Rochelle, with overnight stays in the pleasant towns of Rochefort and Marennes, the trip is perfect for those looking to take it easy, and do some relaxed cycling in a stunning location.
On these self guided holidays you can cycle with friends and family at your own pace. Your accommodation is in carefully selected small guest houses or 2 to 3 star hotels, and you can choose either the B&B or half board option. With bags transferred each day and detailed route notes and maps provided, it couldn’t be simpler.
