Did you know?
Stage 16 of this year’s race will be a cracker as the riders gear up for the 48 hairpin bends of the Stelvio Pass in the Italian Alps. This instantly recognisable and revered Italian climb is as firmly fixed in cycling lore as Alp d’Huez or Mont Ventoux and, at 2757m above sea level, it stakes a claim as one of the highest passes in the Alps. If you want to conquer for yourself, check out our trips: Raid Dolomiti or Italian Alps.
