It’s Christmas Day. Everyone is indoors opening their presents, eating chocolate and preparing Christmas dinner.
Everyone, that is, except those lucky children who have been given a shiny new bike for Christmas. Chances are they will have bolted outside at the first opportunity to try out their exciting two-wheeled present.
There are so many reasons why a bike makes a great Christmas gift, not least seeing the delight on your child’s face when they tear off the acres of wrapping paper.
As well as being great fun and great exercise, riding a bike can give children freedom and independence – to explore, to travel to school and to visit friends. What’s more, a bike is likely to be used and enjoyed for much longer than this year’s ‘must-have’ Christmas fad.
Here’s your chance to win an Islabike
As luck would have it, we have two fantastic Islabikes to give away in our special Christmas competition. One from their Cnoc range, suitable for 3-4 year olds, and one from their Beinn range, suitable for 5-11 year olds.
Ask your child to tell us in no more than 25 words, why they would like a new bike for Christmas. Perhaps they don’t have a bike, or are in need of a bigger bike to stop their knees brushing their ears when they pedal.
Entries can only be accepted by someone over 16 years of age, so you’ll need to enter on your child’s behalf. Just send an email with your child’s reason to firstname.lastname@example.org, and we’ll pick the best two.
Please include your name and telephone number in the email and tell us in the subject line which bike you would prefer to win – either the Cnoc or the Beinn. If you have children of different ages, please send a separate email per child.
The competition closes at midnight on Sunday 9 December. Read the full Terms and conditions.
Islabikes specialise in lightweight children’s bikes. Each bike features easy to reach light action brakes, proportional geometry and is fitted with quality components throughout. Visit their website for more info.
