Holiday Information

Our lovely Gentle Loire cycling holiday in France is designed for those looking for an easy going route with beautiful scenery. You’ll be riding on quiet back roads, seldom-used country trails and side roads on largely flat terrain. You have the whole day to take it slow and really take in this beautiful region.
This circular cycling holiday in France starts and finishes in Tours and meanders through the Cher, Indre and Loire valleys taking in an array of the many castles, manor houses and dreamy residences including Azay-le-Rideau and Chenonceaux.
The Loire Valley is quintessential romantic France. The castles on the river and the beautiful countryside are the reason why this region is so famous. Kings, Lords and Ladies of the court were seduced by the beautiful natural setting and it's easy to see why.
You will be staying in carefully selected 2-3* hotels and guesthouses and a warm welcome will greet you each evening. This self-guided holiday is available for Friday, Saturday and Sunday departures, for a minimum of two people. We book all your accommodation, transfer your luggage and then provide you with routes and an itinerary for you to do the trails unguided. Just let us know your preferred start date.
If you would like to challenge yourself, we also have a version of this trip available with slightly longer daily distances, check out our Chateaux of the Loire cycling holiday. Or if you and your family like the look of this route, then check out our Valley of Castles holiday, where you may find the information more relevant to your needs.
