TRAVEL INSURANCE

Travel insurance is a vital aspect to booking a holiday, giving you protection against unforeseen circumstances that could otherwise spoil your holiday. It is a condition of booking with Saddle Skedaddle that you have adequate valid travel insurance. It is your responsibility to arrange appropriate travel insurance and ensure you have read and understood the full terms and conditions of your travel insurance policy to ensure that you are covered for all activities you intend to undertake whilst on the trip, including all optional activities.

What do I need?

  • Medical cover: Your Insurance Policy must fully cover you for medical expenses and emergency repatriation to your home country. Medical and repatriation insurance cover is not mandatory for UK residents who are travelling on trips within the United Kingdom, although you may still want to consider taking out cancellation insurance.
  • Cancellation cover: Does your policy cover you if you need to cancel your holiday due to illness?
  • Curtailment: Does your policy cover if you need to cut your trip short, or you are refused entry to your destination, and return home due illness.
  • Suitability for all activities: You should check your chosen policy to ensure it covers all of the activities which may be included in your trip. If your trip takes place at altitude you should check that these activities, such as cycling or trekking are still covered as some policies have an altitude ceiling for their cover. If you need to check any details of the activities on your trip just give us a call.
