Self-Guided or Guided?

Skedaddlin’ for all!

Skedaddle cycling holidays are designed for you to relax and recharge, be challenged, thrilled, exhilarated, as well as offer the chance to relax and chill out. We’ve worked on pulling together a range of trips that cater for all levels of experience and fitness. So if you’re young or old, male or female, a relative novice or a super fit experienced rider we’ve a holiday for you!

Whatever your passion, whether off road, road or leisure cycling, small group or self-guided, travelling alone, or with friends or family our holidays provide great cycling in magnificent destinations and all done the Skedaddle way.

Fully Guided (G)

A number of our mountain bike holidays are fully guided, and, depending on group size, will have at least one riding guide accompanying each trip. In addition there’s a support vehicle that meets up at certain points and provides snacks, lunches, carries your luggage and is there if you fancy putting your feet up for a while.

Self-Guided (SG)

After sending you off on your way with detailed route notes, maps and directions, we’ll transfer your luggage (and souvenirs!) allowing you to go at your own pace and make as many photo stops as you like. Should you need any assistance then we are just a phone call away.

Supported (S)

Our supported tours are a great option for those looking for the best of both worlds when choosing a cycling holiday. All of our supported tours are found on well-signposted routes and offer the usual Saddle Skedaddle group service, plus the chance to cycle at your own pace, navigating yourself with a map, rather than being led by a guide.

We provide support either with a Tour Leader in a vehicle (van-supported) or on a bike (bike-supported):

On one of our van-supported trips, you will be supplied with everything you need to navigate yourself along the route, while your Tour Leader will be on hand in a van to help with fiddly punctures, tricky junctions and of course fuelling you on your way with much needed tea stops and a legendary Skedaddle picnic.

On a bike-supported trip, on the other hand, your Tour Leader will be on a bike accompanying you along the route. You will be given the material you need to make your own way if you want, but your Tour Leader will be on the road to help in the case of any mechanicals and to point you in the right direction of the best café or ice cream stop!
