- Riding through rolling vineyards and apricot, citrus and almond orchards
- Enjoying the romantic Mediterranean pine woods and brightly coloured Cistus roses
- Exploring medieval hermitages, perched on hilltops with breathtaking views
- Spending 3 nights at a rustic estate in the countryside and 4 nights at a blissful beach hotel
- Cycling at a gentle pace along quiet back roads
- Relaxing on beautiful beaches, like Playa St Vincent
- Meals: Dinner
Today you’ll arrive at your farmhouse accommodation in Ruberts (near Sencelles), where you will stay for the first 3 nights of this tour. After your transfer from Palma airport, you’ll receive a warm welcome from your hosts and will be able to relax ahead of your week of cycling.
- Meals: Breakfast, dinner
You’ll start your week on the bikes by cycling through beautiful countryside, among olive orchards and vineyards, to reach the historical town of Sineu. With its impressive Gothic church, narrow lanes and lively outdoor terraces, Sineu is a lovely first stop.
You’ll then continue to Petra, the birthplace of Fray Juniperus Serra (the European founder of California), where the monastery and iconographic museum are well worth a visit. Not far away, the hilltop Hermitage of Bonnay is a prime spot to stop for lunch (this is an optional ascent). You’ll then follow quiet country roads and dirt tracks back to your hotel.
- Meals: Breakfast, dinner
After crossing the Palma-Inca highway, you’ll traverse orchards on the slopes of the Tramuntana mountain range heading towards the village of Alaró, with its beautiful castle. So that you can avoid 3km of heavy traffic on the road, you’ll follow ancient footpaths linking Binissalem and Alaró; there is just a short 500m section which is not suitable for cycling. On your return, you’ll gently descend on a beautiful inland road, winding through an authentic rural landscape, passing impressive estates and historic villages.
- Meals: Breakfast
Today you’ll say goodbye to your first hotel, as you cycle to the beautiful beach resort of Puerto Pollença. You’ll find yourself pedalling through both Costitx and Llubi and through a quiet valley full of carob and orchards. It’s a scenic and relaxed ride as you make your way slowly towards an area with wonderful scenery, beautiful sandy beaches, and a laid-back friendly atmosphere; this is your home for the next couple of days – Puerto Pollença.
- Meals: Breakfast
Today you can explore some of the beautiful beaches on Mallorca’s north coast, including Playa St Vincent and the hidden Playa de Col Baix, before continuing on to the medieval town of Pollença. Here you‘re in the perfect spot to enjoy a typical Spanish lunch in a local restaurant. It’s now only 30 minutes on the bikes back to the hotel, so the afternoon is free to do as you please and you can sample dinner in one of the local restaurants in Puerto Pollença.
- Meals: Breakfast
Today you’ll cycle to the wetlands of S’Albufera, home to many interesting birds. Your journey takes you through typical Mallorcan landscapes, past windmills and fields of artichokes, before reaching the beach of Alcudia. From here it’s not far to your hotel, so you’ll have time to relax on the beach should you wish.
- Meals: Breakfast
Your route today will see you cycling along the western part of the Alcudian peninsula to Ermita Victoria. You might fancy taking a walk to the peak of Alcudia, if you’d like, where you’ll find exceptional views over the Pollença and Alcudia coves.
On your way back you can visit the Alcudia Roman theatre and stroll through the old town centre. Alcudia was the first city of Mallorca to be conquered by the Romans in 123BC and was given the name of Pollentia.
The route will mostly take you along quiet country roads, through rolling countryside, with some short climbs along the way. Day 2 will pose the biggest challenge, if opting for the longer route, with 420m / 1380ft of ascent to take on (an achievable challenge!). 90% of the route will see you cycling on sealed roads, sharing the road with vehicle traffic. That being said the routes are relatively quiet, and have been designed with cyclists in mind. We’d recommend a hybrid bike, but you can bring along road bikes if preferred, bearing in mind there are some short sections on gravel / dirt tracks, cobbled streets and farm tracks.

Is this suitable for you?
Maybe you have recently got into cycling and would like to do more over consecutive days, or maybe you‘re looking for a more energetic alternative to your usual holiday? If you‘re looking for an opportunity to try some quiet roads, cycle paths or some accessible, cycle friendly routes these holidays might be for you. You’ll come across some gently undulating terrain and the odd cheeky challenge, so we’d generally expect those on a Grade 2 holiday to ride their bikes relatively frequently at home, perhaps commuting to work or heading out for some leisurely rides at the weekend.

Penny, Berkshire, UKVery impressed!
It’s been fantastic. Yes, there are plenty of peletons of hard core cyclists about, but they tend to be on the faster, wider roads. The lovely lanes us leisure cyclists are using are quiet, beautiful with very little traffic, on two or four wheels. And there are more designated cycling roads than I’ve ever seen anywhere.
The maps and written directions have been superb. Some of the other destinations could learn from these. The maps are so detailed they are a delight to follow. We were amused today to find the directions even told us accurately what crops to expect in the fields!
The bay at Port Pollença is beautiful. We had excellent views across the bay from our hotel rooms and a wide choice of places to dine. So all in all, we’ve been really pleased to have chosen this Skedaddle holiday!
Tana, North Vancouver, CanadaVery good!
Skedaddle staff were all very helpful and patient with all our questions. All rides had great sections but the most memorable or best ride for us was the Sineu to Puerto Pollenca ride. As a whole all was very good!
Sarah, Gloucestershire, UKFantastic Trip!
From initial enquiry through to support throughout the trip I felt well looked after and our needs catered for exactly how we needed. Really excellent maps and directions. Between our group one would follow the map, one would follow the detailed directions, and another tracked the distance – together we never got lost. Really helpful to have suggestions for refreshment stops too! Overall, we had such a great time and lots of happy memories.
