A little background...
In 1988 deuter invited mountain guides, bikers and mountaineers to join the development team to have a direct input on future rucksack models. This led to deuter releasing their first mountain biking rucksack in 1990, with the help of Andi Heckmair Deuter developed a completely new pack, called the Bike I. This style of pack is still available today.
Since the development of the Bike I, deuter have continued to innovate and create bike specific packs for both road and mountain bikers. In 2005 deuter launched a new mountain bike specific pack called the Attack. This pack came with an integrated back protector, and won the Eurobike gold award for innovation.
