For every booking made on one of our cycling holidays in Asia, Africa, Central America and South America, we will donate to World Bicycle Relief. We’re aiming to raise enough funds to donate a Buffalo Bicycle for every trip that departs in our range of long-haul holidays. The donation will include the support needed to connect hard-working rural women, men, girls and boys with the services and opportunities they need to thrive.
We’ve also made it easier for you to support World Bicycle Relief too, with the option to add a £10 or £20 donation when you book. If every customer donates £20 that would mean we could double the number of bikes provided!

Changing Lives With Bicycles
Since 2005, World Bicycle Relief has distributed more than 860,000 Buffalo Bicycles and empowered more than 4.3 million people in local communities, with a particular emphasis on supporting women and girls. The impact of the Buffalo Bicycle is profound:
- Students increase their attendance at school by a third and save an average of six hours per week on their travel time.
- Girls are 40% less likely to drop out of school.
- Health workers visit 88% more households, treating an average of 17 patients per day up from 9, while spending 25% more time with each patient.
- Women with Buffalo Bicycles record 43% higher earnings.
At the heart of this impact is the Buffalo Bicycle – a durable, locally serviceable bike engineered for tough terrain and heavy loads. Skedaddle partner, Giant, plays a key role by bringing technical expertise, production capacity and innovation to ensure these life-changing bicycles are both reliable and scalable.
The Buffalo Bicycle is well designed and supported by a network of 3,300+ trained mechanics and affordable quality spare parts. More than 50 local retail shops also allow people to purchase spare parts and invest in a Buffalo Bicycle to grow their household productivity and small businesses.
Donations
Saddle Skedaddle donates 0.5% of sales on all cycling holidays in Asia, Africa, Central America and South America, to World Bicycle Relief. Donations apply to all sales from 18 August 2025 for holidays departing in 2026 and beyond. Customers can also donate at the point of booking – simply select the donation amount you wish to add when you complete your booking.
Donating £10 helps keep bicycles rolling. Help World Bicycle Relief to purchase essential parts like tyres, chains and brakes – critical components that keep bicycles in motion for students, health workers and entrepreneurs in rural communities.
Donating £20 will help to empower a girl with mobility. Fund a durable set of wheels for a specially designed Buffalo Bicycle, enabling a girl to attend school safely and consistently, even across long distances.
