Best organised by far!
Dan and the team could not have done any more for us. It really made the holiday. We have done a number of long cycling tours before and this was the best organised by far.
Great cycling and extremely well supported tour. The guides now feel part of our cycling club! Shame about the weather during the first few days but there is nothing we could do about that.
Another fantastic holiday with Skedaddle...
This is my 7th trip. A great group of people and brilliant guides. The organisation from start to finish was faultless. Looking for number 8 very soon. My third trip with Dan. Brilliant guide, very organised, calm and caring. Looks after everyone sooo well. Exceptional at keeping the wine glasses topped up. All guides put on amazing lunches and provided hot freshly cooked pasta dishes which were great.
Wonderful road cycling...
The cycling was brilliant. The Angliru will never be done again – it is a brutal climb. The climb to Lagos de Covadonga was very steep (16%) in places but it is an amazing place. As usual the guides are top of the pile. Dan, Philip and Felix provided excellent support, food preparation etc. Water was always available and the guides were especially attentive during the hotter days.
Excellent holiday! With such a large group to manage I feel Dan’s leadership (patience & encouragement) was fundamental to the success of the holiday.
All I can say is wow...
I have just returned from the Vuelta Classics road cycling holiday , and all I can say is WOW! Thank you for one of the best weeks of my life so far!
Dan was both gracious, hospitable and accommodating to all the different personalities on the trip. A real gentleman! He really knew the route well, as well as a lot of local trivia!
A great holiday...
Great route, fantastic weather, good company, friendly guides and interesting places!
All things considered the trip offered very good value for money
Sebastian played a massive role in this, both with food and drink in his control and prompting others. Dinners were superb value.
Dan’s leadership added a huge amount to our enjoyment. Thoughtful and intelligent throughout, exceptionally patient, and his love of cycling and the area was infectious.
Excellent. Day 5 was my favourite since the rest day previous day helped tackle the 3 big climbs. Fabulous scenery and perfect weather. Fab lunch as always from Seb.
Dan and Seb coped excellently with all eventualities with a calm and resourceful manner. Always looking after the whole group.
I have done many cycling holidays but always self guided prior to this one. I really felt the guides encouraged us to push ourselves outside our comfort zones; subsequently I achieved more than I thought possible….26km uphill without stopping.
All the days had fantastic scenety and testing riding. The covadonga climb was my particular favourite, closely followed by San Glorio pass day. Dan was Excellent, a very capable and skilled Tour Leader. The other guides were great fun!
Great group of cyclists, this makes the holiday! The guides were relaxed and very competent. We got to sample the local cuisine which is always a great part of the trip. The cycling was tough – 2000m vertical for 5 of the 6 days but gradients on a few of the climbs were tougher than what you will see in the Alps and Pyrenees. The average day was 115km and the pace was quicker, but that is more a function of the group. The scenery was great and the traffic was friendly.
