Holiday Information

After taking a break for a couple of seasons, Denmark is now back in the range ready to entice you with its wild forests, lush meadows, beautiful coastlines and charming villages. Denmark is perfectly suited for a family cycling holiday, and with over 12,000 kms of sign-posted cycle routes throughout the country it's not hard to see why!
The route itself is a relaxed affair allowing you to explore Copenhagen and East Zealand at your own pace. Getting on your bikes is a great way to explore this beautiful region, and your three bases, Copenhagen, Køge and Roskilde, allow for ample exploring!
You will start and finish your trip in Copenhagen, one of the most bike friendly cities in Europe, easily acessed from various UK and European airports. Cycling in Copenhagen is great fun, and whilst you're there we recommend seeing the Royal Palace, the reknowned Little Mermaid statue, the Tivoli amusement park and Strøget, one of the longest pedestrian streets in the world.
You'll start the week cycling along the Køge Bay, heading for your first base for the week, Køge. You'll spend some time here riding traffic free routes and exploring the Stevns peninsular. You'll then head north to Roskilde through breathtaking scenery and have the chance to explore the Roskilde Fjord, visiting the Viking museum, finally making your way back to the capital.
This family cycling holiday is all about comfortable accommodation and gentle cycling through lovely countryside. We book all your accommodation, transfer your luggage and provide you with cycling routes and a detailed itinerary. Just contact us with your preferred dates and let Skedaddle show you the best way to enjoy a cycling holiday in Denmark.
