Trip Information

Our spectacular and diverse mountain bike tour in Peru takes us through the country's beautiful and verdant Sacred Valley to the incredible Amazon rainforest. Biking here in the rarefied air of the high Andes around the Inca capital Cusco is a largely downhill affair with miles of fun trails to suit a range of riders. No other country in Latin America offers the same depth of attractions - both physical and cultural, than Peru.
As well as fantastic biking we also trek the fabled Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, the spectacular world heritage site, high in the Andes.
This Peru cycling tour appeals to those looking for great biking, amazing culture, stunning scenery and diverse wildlife. Whilst not technically challenging, these exhilarating rides on dirt roads and tracks are through some of the world’s most dramatic landscapes and ensure one of the most exciting biking itineraries in South America. In the Sacred Valley we cycle past ancient Inca ruins and visit the artisan market of Pisac, before climbing high into the Andes, to witness a spectacular sunrise over the Amazon.
Next we embark on a fantastic downhill ride, through pristine cloudforest and continue on deep into the jungle. Here we stay in a picturesque jungle lodge where we can explore the surrounding trails in search of rare wildlife. Returning to Cuzco, we take a breather before donning our walking boots and setting of on the Inca Trail. This trek tops many peoples' must do list and is so popular that, to protect the trail, you require a permit before setting off. These permits can sell out months in advance making it essential to book early.
If you are looking for an Andes biking trip in Peru with more challenging mountain biking and an optional day trip to Machu Picchu, check out our Sacred Singletrack trip.
