Trip Information

This UK family cycling tour takes you along the northern boundary of the Roman Empire, starting and finishing at either end of Hadrian’s Wall utilizing the National Cycle Network as you cycle coast to coast.
Cycling along you'll follow in the footsteps of Roman soldiers, whilst experiencing some of the rich heritage that Cumbria and Northumberland have to offer.
This coast to coast cycling vacation boasts open hill country, peaceful river valleys and a finish in the vibrant city of Newcastle. You will be supported all the way by a vehicle carrying bike spares and tools and a Skedaddle driver who provides refreshments and lunch en-route.
Accommodation is in well-appointed bed and breakfasts, inns or small family run hotels. Breakfasts and picnic lunches are provided and evening meals can be taken in restaurants or pubs close to the accommodation.
If you're looking for a cycling tour suitable for families on quiet roads, traffic free paths and National Cycle Network routes - then Hadrian's Cycleway is the tour for you. You can read more about the experiences of a family that joined one of our supported trips on our blog.
