Trip Information

This incredible route takes us on a journey of spectacular gorges, beautiful forested National Parks, through the home of Roquefort cheese and onto the amazing fortified town of Carcassonne.
This place to place ride starts at the bottom of the Gorges d’Ardèche and heads into the heart of the predominantly pine forested Cevennes National Park, which stretches across the Ardèche, Lozere and Gard regions, all of which we visit during the tour. From here, we then journey onto the Tarn Gorge, Gorge de la Jonte and Gorge de Doubie before emerging into the Languedoc Rousillon National Park, with breath-taking, wide stretching views across rolling hills. Before we press on to our final destination, we stop off near the town of Roquefort to sample the famous blue veined cheese, along with the great wines of this region.
Our journey ends at the historic town of Carcassonne, famous for the Cite de Carcassonne, an impressive medieval fortress restored in 1853 and now one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Spectacular scenery and fascinating history meet head to head on this tour!
