Prepare to be enchanted as we journey through landscapes of shimmering lakes, deep valleys, and forests of monkey puzzle trees, all set against the awe-inspiring backdrop of the Andes and the Patagonian Desert.
Our journey begins in Puerto Varas, a charming town renowned for its fusion of German and Chilean cuisine. From here, we pedal along the shores of Lago Llanquihue, passing through Ensenada before a side trip to marvel at the crashing rapids and waterfalls of Saltos de Petrohue.
Continuing our ride, we skirt around the shores of Lago Llanquihue on a dedicated bike lane before reaching the hot springs town of Puyehue. Crossing over the Andes into Argentina, we make our way through the peaceful village of Villa La Angostura and join the famous Ruta 40.
As we journey north through the valleys of Argentina, we enjoy quiet roads and cozyaccommodations, taking a well-deserved rest day in San Martin de los Andes before continuing our adventure on the Ruta de las Siete Lagos. Climbing over the Andes one last time, we re-enter Chile and thread our way past majestic volcanos, enjoying the region's renowned hot springs along the way.
Our journey concludes in Temuco, where our South to North adventure through the stunning landscapes of Chile and Argentina comes to an end.
