Holiday Information

It’s thanks to pirates that we have the privilege of this fantastic cycling holiday. Menorca is strategic gem in the Mediterranean, with one of the largest and deepest natural harbours in the world and was continually invaded by pirates. So the Cami de Cavalls was built in the 14th century to circumnavigate the island, connecting watchtowers and patrolled by military on horseback to spread the news of approaching invaders.
For the mountain biker the results are a spectacular 200km coastal trail with a high percentage of blazing singletrack. Thrilling descents, lung punching climbs, super fast flowing trails, twisting forest lines, technical rocky steps and scenic cliff top tracks link-up stunning isolated coves, limestone canyons, tiny fishing villages and the historical towns of Mahon and Cuitadella; this Menorca mountain biking trip has it all!
This magnificent island and coastline, declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO holds unique historical, artistic and cultural wealth and is an island of contrasts. The north is rugged, steep and dramatic and the south a moulded limestone sculpture of deep ravines and deeper blue seascapes backed by pine trees.
The riding is adventurous, and best tackled by experienced trail riders with a good level of fitness. The trails are challenging, technical and will require you to push or carry your bike at times. The rewards are immense though; with a remote atmosphere and the opportunity to explore seldom ridden paths.
The fantastic lashing of diverse riding on this Menorca bike tour is embellished by great, but low key hotels, delicious Mediterranean cuisine and great flight options from the UK and Europe. Awesome!
